Seabird breeding season is in full swing on the Braunann mór (The big seastack) at the Cliffs of Moher. A noisy spot, with over 6,000 birds coming and going as they feed their chicks. Mostly Guillemots and Kittiwakes with some Razorbills and Shags scattered amongst them.

Part 1: At Sea
Excuse fuzziness. Operating an iPhone whilst bobbing like a cork on water isn’t easy!!
Today, Mothman and Mothman’s Mr Spouse went #wildlife searching around the Scilly Isles, firstly on a boat where we saw #puffins, #guillemots and #razorbills, atlantic #seals and a distant #PeregrineFalcon.
Not on photo, but we also saw #cormorants and even bagged a couple of #shags

The #ExeEstuary has a few #wrecks in it. I presume they are #NavigationHazards but I guess it would prove too expensive to clear the #waterway. Perhaps they provide a #habitat for #MarineLife. Here you can see #Birds (I can’t tell whether they are #Cormorants of #Shags).

An Braunann Mór - the big seastack at the Cliffs of Moher. It's stone ledges are home to more than 6,000 nesting seabirds, including Common Guillemots, Kittiwakes, Razorbills and Shags.

This morning’s #BirdsOfMastodon included three picturesque #Herons and some scenic #Cormorants (I think, tho I couldn’t check their heads to ascertain if in fact #Shags)… #GrandCanal #GrandCanalDock #Dodder

Part of the journey is past the #RiverExe and you can see part of a flood relief channel with a weir where sea #birds are often found resting. Today there were #gulls but other times you may see #cormorants or #shags there. Further on, the #cyclepath goes by the #ExeterCanal and it has been nice to see people still #exercising i.e. #running, #cycling or #walking by the water.
