Das Geld wäre sinnvoller in den Ausbau der Bahnstrecke #Uelzen-#Gifhorn-Braunschweig investiert, um der völlig überlasteten Achse #Hamburg-#Hannover eine belastbare Alternative für den #SGV zu bieten.
Zusätzlich könnte Braunschweig - Hamburg im #SPFV direkt in unter 2 Stunden verbunden werden.

Der Erhalt der #Bäderbahn & ein zusätzlicher Halt am #HansaPark ist absolut richtig!

Die Halte der Bäderbahn sollten an die NBS verlagert werden. Dies würde ~ eine Halbierung der #SPNV-Nachfrage bedeuten. Und gleichzeitig wichtige Trassen im internationalen #SPFV (Potential 30min-Takt) und #SGV blockieren.

Beides ist sinnvoll: Bäderbahn für SPNV (+ Umleiter) & NBS für internationale Verkehre. Die neuen Haltepunkte an der NBS können eingespart werden.

"The reduced membership program offers income-eligible residents in qualifying communities access to e-bikes at significantly lower rates. A City Commuter e-bike membership is available for $75 for 12 months with a $125 refundable deposit. Cargo and specialty e-bikes, designed for hauling groceries, transporting children, or replacing car trips, are available for $105 for a three-month membership."

This morning over in the #SGV we were getting smoke smells from the #BoyleHeights fire.

It's drifted somewhat way from us and more toward Glendale right now.

According to the #LATimes, the city of Los Angeles is probably going to declare a state of emergency today.

The LAFD chief is quoted as saying this is a "very unique fire, a very unique challenge for the Los Angeles Fire Department , for the city of Los Angeles, but also for the County of Los Angeles"

It's a 500,000 square foot cold storage building at 1400 S Los Palos St, and housed 85 million pounds of frozen food.

The fire is hard to control because the dense foam insulation is slowly burning inside the freezer cases.

The fire department thinks they've mitigated the toxic fumes from the fire and is currently more concerned about the biohazard caused by millions of tons of rotting food.

Na sowas, die Siemens Vectron Dual Mode kommt in ein paar Jahren mit einem großen Akkupack statt des Dieselgenerators, um oberleitungsfreie Streckenteile zu überbrücken bei sehr ähnlichen Leistungsdaten. Und dank Stromabnehmer braucht es keine Tankfahrten mehr. Erstkunde wird F-AKIEM sein.

In my neighborhood, 50yrs ago, I do not remember seeing any homes that had PV.

Now, 50yrs later. I know of at least two or three percent of the houses that now have visible PV.
