Evan Bernstein has resigned from the #SGU podcast after being politically radicalised. He had been posting hateful, dehumanising posts on X/Twitter. And engaging in conspiracy theories.
The latest episode of the Skeptics Guide to the Universe has discussion of what has gone on.
I am a loooong term listener.
I am glad that there has been no doubling down, no claims of a hacked X account.
Evan had admitted that he has been leading a double online life.

@umrk , "Any SGU fans out there?" Gods, yes, what with John Scalzi bringing the receipts as science advisor (well, "creative consultant") and keeping it real, breathtaking music by Joel Goldsmith, good ensemble acting, the first effective use of the HDTV format I witnessed, and thoroughly credible dialogue and plotting, I loved it. It richly deserved the full run it never got.
What I typically show to people considering it is the great dwarf star sequence from episode 5.
