  1. My last two items that I picked up at #SFZineFest #sfzinefest2023 — a set of comics making up a graphic novel memoir of being a science fiction fan in the 70s, and a comic about growing up online.

After the event, I took the F Market streetcar because I could edit and post my pictures on the way home. (The J stops closer to my home but I don’t get a signal when it is underground.)

  2. Met Lydia of Third Iris Zine at #SFZineFest #sfzinefest2023 when I saw the Tarot Insights zine (of course I was going to get it).

  3. One thing I love about things like #SFZineFest #sfzinefest2023 is meeting new creators. This is Dimitrea Tokunbo, who created a comic zine about Mary Ellen Pleasant, a woman from 19th century San Francisco with an amazing story. Looking forward to reading it!

  4. Really happy to see Lawrence Lindell at #SFZineFest #SFZineFest2023; I’ve been reading his work for a long time, and I’m really glad to get his first graphic novel from a major publisher!

We went to an event at Strut in the Castro a few months ago and some of Lawrence’s original art from this book was up, which was incredible.

  5. Glad to stop by and see @tylerzonia at #SFZineFest #sfzinefest2023 and pick up Semantic Shift and this really cool art card. Tyler introduced me to Dorian Katz, who made This Zine Does Not Meet Community Standards.

  6. Glad to see @BijouType again this year at #SFZineFest #sfzinefest2023; we first met in person in 2001 when we were both original gay bloggers.
