Got around to seeing the Control Freaks (finally, after like a decade of their existence) at the Alameda Record Swap thingie at Faction Brewing. They sound like the Rip-Offs, appropriately enough, with the addition of occasional keyboards and with slightly greater songwriting complexity. I was pelted in a shower of guitar picks hurled by the band - yay to the Control Freaks, yay to reasonably-priced records, and yay to free Saturday afternoons. #Alameda #ControlFreaks #Punk #RecordSwap #SFPunk

The Avengers last night. I know better than to skip out on bands I like at this point (the meteor could strike any day), and besides, “We Are the One” always sounds and hits better in person.
