So it turns out, my #rebuild of my #sffpc is gonna turn even more complex than anticipated. Original plan was: Move the components of my future system from the #Meshroom D into the Meshroom S. And vice versa. But just now I realised I cannot do this: To properly install the GPU in the Meshroom S, I need to add the Extension Bracket as well. But that removes mATX support for the Meshroom D .. oh dear. 😅😱 /1

La nueva Steam Machine me hace ojitos. Sé que no es para mí, apela a mi gusto por el #sffpc pero se queda bastante corta en muchos aspectos como la Ram.

Aún asi he disfrutado tanto la Steamdeck que solo por eso me genera la duda.

Pero la Steamdeck me dio el empujón a pasar mi PC a Linux para jugar, y estoy muy contento con mi PC gaming de 11L.

Eso sí el Steam Controller cae seguro

After having a laptop as a daily driver for 8 years, I decided to build myself a SFFPC.
A bit overkill (I even fit a soundcard in there), but slicing and toolpath generation has never been faster! And I finally get to play current AAA on max settings. : )
All while being completely silent.

PC build update. Got a bit impatient waiting for the custom cables so built it with the Corsair OEM ones in the meantime. There’s zero (and I mean zero) room for airflow now but I’ll just swap them out when they arrive. Pretty much finished now aside from some small things to sort here and there.

This is a challenging case to build a PC in.
I somehow still need to fit the PSU power cables, a 240mm radiator, two fans, and an RTX 5080 in here. Help. 🤣

Successfully transplanted my PC from the Louqe Ghost S1 to my new NCASE T1. Time will tell if it’s the better case for temps/performance/noise.
Starting the assembly on the NCASE was quite difficult for me because the instructions are really vague - had to watch a dozen YT videos to figure it out. Otherwise beautiful case as I expected. #PCTransplant #NCASE #formdt1 #LouqeGhostS1 #PCBuilding #sffpc

Is it possible to build a #Linux machine and NOT become a full time sys admin?

I’m a 2 decade Mac user, but also a front-end web dev who loves open source and the ethos of the indie/open/distributed web.

I need a personal machine for personal web projects, music listening/archiving, and simple DAW.

Have been considering the m4 Mac mini when it releases, but #Apple treatment of users and devs over the past 5+ years has me considering a #SFFPC running Linux.

Will be my first pc case with an AIO liquid cooler tho so I'm excited to see what that means for sound and temperature.
