所有这些叙事：女性从事色情产业是自甘堕落、不值得同情，无非是为了给男性自己的消费行为免责，逃避道德上的谴责。他们清楚自己的观看、购买是在剥削女性，清楚是先有需求才有供给，便千方百计的要证明被剥削的女性是自我选择的，她们因为这样的选择而身负原罪，消费者并非始作俑者。
与此同时，将从事过色情产业的女性永远钉在耻辱柱上，不允许她们为自己辩白或摆脱过去的身份，目的是将女性永远分为两种：贞洁本分的女性与放荡罪恶的荡妇，这样泾渭分明的社会分类依然是对男性有利，方便男性可以轻易的选出伴侣与消费对象：一部分女性为其提供稳定家庭与附带的好处，另一部分女性负责满足其见不得光的欲望。在以此为标准的划分里，全体女性依然是为男性服务的，满足他们不同层次的需求。
一旦这样泾渭分明的界限被打破，从事色情行业的女性不再被辱骂排斥，过去的评判标准消失，作为评价者的男性便在这里失去了主体地位，无所适从，无能狂怒。
那个女孩所表述的话语即使混乱，对社会来说却是勇敢的：她指认了自己之所以会这么选择是因为受到男性的伤害，并公开认为自己有如此生活的权利。她对身体的态度在遭遇童年性侵的受害者中并不少见，然而她认为自己有资格走进动漫场地的逻辑是赋权的：我们每个人都有权利走进任何地方，而不必接受对自己的身份、过去、社交平台形象的审查。这背后的潜台词是：即使有狼狈的过去与难以自控的生活，她也是一个平等的人。
在这段话里，她指出了色情产业的女性绝非“自我选择”，那些受益者利用的是一个女性的经济弱势与悲惨遭遇，而社会无权因此评判、剥夺她的基本权利。
如果一个社会，对性剥削的观看、消费不加禁止，却禁止一位女性被公众看见，禁止她靠其他手段谋生，这无疑是虚伪的，保护的只是那些躲在暗处的剥削者。
看那个女孩的微博，她显然很愿意在这样的平台上和女性互动，会和女生一起吃饭、跨年，她显然也希望美丽被看到却不必被剥削，那些女性关心她，愿意陪伴她，只因为她需要帮助。这真是非常珍贵的情感，是某些人无法理解的，与性和利益没有关系的情感联系。可能大家并没有解决所有问题的资源，但构建这样的联系本身，就是在打破男性建立的评价标准，在其中摸索女性自我的价值。
