A one-owner wonder with a nearly pristine case, lots of accessories, and the original documentation. It needs a little more work (timing, we think) but should be ready within the week.

3D printed magnetic needle labels attached to every machine so that I know how the machine is setup.
I switch out the label every time I load a new needle so that I don't have to remove the needle to check its size and type.

Those holes in the throat bed and needle plate of the sewing machine? They're for attachments like seam guides.
They are NOT where you put pins after removing them from your project.

But if you do, make it easier for your machine tech by working around the seams between machine case parts. It makes us sad to ruin machine personalization.

Tomorrow's another open drop-off day at Sewcial Studies in beautiful downtown Milwaukie.
Come by any time from noon until 2pm to leave your sewing machine with us for the spa day it's earned!
While you're there, scope out the well curated fabrics available in the shop. Suzanne just received some gorgeous new bolts of linens and Liberty cotton.

Did you know that lowering the presser foot on your #SewingMachine engages the upper tension, and raising it disengages tension, so you should always raise the presser foot before threading your machine?

The past two days we've been working on a machine that's been "serviced" by another shop twice in two years, most recently in February.
Look at this mess! So much ancient oil/grease! No surprise the owner came to us reporting sewing problems.
This sort of thing really crumbles our cookies.
How dare anyone let a machine out of the shop and then charge a customer, claiming to have taken care of it??
Grrrrrr.

@douglasvb @ai6yr This is a typical industrial machine table. The motor is built into the table, not the machine, and is the size of a small watermelon. The machine in question is the one on the left; the Consew is my daily driver. By itself, the Singer weighs 80 lbs. #sewingMachine
