Oh fuck. I just learned that a ship ran aground on Ogijima today, right next to the lighthouse. There is no pollution for now, but I don't know how they'll put it back in the water or remove or whatever.

As promised, my "Good #weekend" Setouchi pictures of the day.
This very unusual lighting is brought to you by the sands of the Gobi desert who pay us a visit a couple of times a year. Of course, tomorrow should be relatively warm, and it'll be a day when it's unwise to spend too much time outside (even more so because the sand -already unhealthy in itself- brings some pollution from East China along the way. -

By the way, the other day we discussed with the light on the water was so special in winter, hypothesizing it was because of temperatures, chemistry of the air when it's cold and whatnot, but... could it simply be because the sun is lower???

Good morning. It's another sunny, cold, but busy morning on the Seto Inland Sea, as the seaweed farmers have been busy since who knows how early (my neighbor is a seaweed farmer, he left home at 2am last night).

I love to think this very unique boat is a boathouse that's floating on the Seto Inland Sea. Unfortunately, it's not owned by an eccentric genius, it's a luxury hotel-boat.

And there was an unusual but familiar shape in the sea too this morning. I had never seen it so close before.
