Nur wenig anspruchsvoller im Betrieb aber wesentlich reifer und tatsächlich in Benutzung ist https://packages.debian.org/trixie/snac2 von @grunfink. Ich empfehle das, z.B. auf einem winzigen V-Server. Läßt sich selber modden und harmoniert z.B. mit https://f-droid.org/packages/com.keylesspalace.tusky/ und https://phanpy.social

In terms of user friendly self-hosting of blogs with ActivityPub integration, I really enjoy @mro's project #Seppo social. The hardest part of installing it is to upload a single file to a web space and to change its permissions.

It's still work in progress, but it's already an impressive proof of concept!

@mro Hi, Non-Techie hier, der #Seppo gerne mal ausprobieren würde. Warum sind auf der Downloadseite 4 Dateien? Brauche ich doch nicht nur die "seppo.cgi"? Wenn ich die bei mir hochlade und die Rechte setzen will, dann macht mein Hoster aus der Eingabe "555" automatisch "755". Liegt es daran, dass – wenn ich dann auf http://<example.com/WhereI/JustPutIt>/seppo.cgi gehe – einfach nur sofort ein Download anspringt und sonst nichts unter der URL erscheint? Auf Codeberg funzt der Link zur Demo nicht.

When someone asks about options for servers or clients I have a habit of tagging recommendations, and when there is not an account for the thing, I have to stop and search for a dev or find a website address to link to etc.
