Good news for Sentinels of the Multiverse fans: Handelabra Games—the developers of the video game adaptations—have bought the rights to Sentinels and the Greater Than Games name. They're indicating they're in talks with bringing back the GTG crew to continue development on Sentinels, so the game should live on!

Sentinels of the Multiverse: Definitive Edition has some of the best health dials I've had that pleasure of using in a board game.
The latest expansion for the game, Disparation, has introduced a new style of health dial that I'm not entirely sold on yet. Actual use will be the real test, but fiddling with them after assembly has left me worried about how fiddly the smaller dial is to use.

Looks like Greater Than Games—publisher of the board games Spirit Island, Sentinels of the Multiverse, and Compile—has been shuttered due to the tariff situation. While I've not played Compile, Spirit Island and Sentinels are the two games I play the most, so knowing that no further expansions will happen sucks.

I recently got Sentinels of the Multiverse Definitive Edition in and put in a few games, so I thought I'd share some thoughts on the game so far, and put some comparisons with some of the earlier releases.
If you're unfamiliar, Sentinels of the Multiverse pits you and up to four others as knockoffs of your favorite superheroes against your favorite supervillains with the serial numbers filed off. Originally released in 2011, it received several expansions up through 2018. The 2022 release of the Definitive Edition aims to clean up the game with the experience gained from development over the years.
Also featured here is Sentinels of Earth-Prime, a 2022 spin-off game based on the original edition once again featuring knockoffs of your favorite heroes and villains, but from the Mutants & Masterminds RPG.
Note that this won't be a thorough review of the game, but just some initial thoughts and comparisons.

More Sentinels last night. Legacy, Parse: Fugue State, Tempest, and Luminary against Apostate at Freedom City.
My previous attempt against Apostate was nasty. Cleared boards, damage reduction and redirection, and demon/relic revive loops.
On the other hand, Legacy and Tempest are always great, especially together, and Parse: Fugue State might be the best hero in the game. Those three finished things before Luminary could do much.

Played Sentinels of the Multiverse/Earth-Prime last night, pairing Freedom Six Tachyon, Lantern Jack, Akash'Thriya: Spirit of the Void, and Rook City Wraith against Akash'Bhuta at Freedom Tower. My first time against Akash'Bhuta, and now I know that I have to pick an environment with targets in it for her to work properly. At Freedom Tower, and with heroes that are manipulating both the environment and villain decks, she's a pushover.

Today World Television Day! As a live theatre troupe, most of our activity is on stage but not counting YouTube recordings of shows of the occasional performance over Zoom, we've appeared on TV at least once during a feature spot for the first Cleveland ConCoction! Fitting this was of our Dalek Skarino since this week is the 60th anniversary of one of our favorite programs on the telly - "Doctor Who"!

Legacy hat jede Runde die anderen gebufft, The Wraith hat getankt, immer mehr Karten vor sich gehabt und vor allem Multi-Target Attacken gemacht und Ra war das absolute Biest mit Multi Target Schaden und seinem Staff of Ra Burst, den ich 2x ausspielen konnte.
Das ist schon echt cool.
Und physisch so viel übersichtlicher als in der App, wo ich immer nur einen Ausschnitt sehe.
Ich brauche dafür bloß auch Spin Down Würfel.
