#MeshCore crisis! For unknown reasons, reception SNR suddenly dropped about 10 dB and has stayed on this level for days. Noise floor is unchanged.

Repeater is a #Seeed #SenseCAP Solar with a build-in 868MHz filter from https://www.mesh-up.nl/ (TX limited to 20 dB as specified). The filter was a huge success, with NF dropping from -85 to -117. Worked for weeks, then reception dropped drastically.

No additional waterproofing was done, apart from the heat shrink tubing on the RP-SMA/N cable. I took it apart though, and it didn't seem moist. Waterproofed it with self-amalgamating tape and remounted.

Some have suggested weather conditions (previously hot/dry weather could have raised the SNR bar), water in installation (unlikely?) and a fried filter (wouldn't this bring the NF back to -85?).

@wheels ich habe keine Ahnung, wo die Hersteller herkommen. Ich verwende als Companion einen #Sensecap T 1000 E und als Repeater einen #Heltec V4.
Wenn man nicht gerade in #Köln wohnt, braucht man für #Meshcore keinen Repeater, sondern nur den Companion 😉 Die Software ist Open Source und liegt auf github. https://github.com/meshcore-dev/MeshCore

Jeg har rodet lidt med #Meshtastic og #LoRa, men er kommet frem til at jeg ikke rigtig kommer videre, før jeg har en repeater på taget. Prototyper er blevet testet, men problemet har altid været at der lige mangler stabil strøm, så forsøget dør når powerbanken løber tør. Solpaneler betyder flere steder der kan komme vand ind, og det har jeg simpelthen ikke haft mentalt overskud til. I dag tog jeg skridtet bestilte en #SenseCAP Solar Node P1-Pro fra #Seeed. Det er en vandtæt klump med solpanel, batterier og radio der kan køre Meshtastic. Så er der beskæftigelsesterapi i sommerferien! :-)

TIL That the nice looking slim #SenseCAP Card Tracker T1000-E has two variants, #MeshTastic and #LoraWan - the only difference is that the LoraWan variant is Open Source. So Bigly Open Source in fact, that it has a locked bootloader preventing it from being used with MeshTastic.

In other news, if anyone needs a non-MeshTastic capable LoraWan T1000-E, feel free to ping me...

According to the site below, the newest #MeshCore stock firmware image shall support switching a device buzzer off (e.g., on #SenseCap #T1000e).

I need it to be switched off urgently.
But I cannot find a cli command nor a companion app gui element that allows me to do that.

(The "TapTap" firmware has a command "/buz off", but this is not available on the stock firmware image).

Did someone switch the buzzer off so far?

I was curious where the sensors were located on the #SenseCAP T1000-e.

It took me a few minutes to find this picture and so I thought it might be of interest to some who also have these nodes.

Technically this appears to be from an earlier model but still relevant to what I was looking for.

I had been waiting eagerly for these nodes to get back in stock at #Muziworks

The #SenseCAP Tracker T1000-E seems to do it all. A very impressive built-in antenna, GPS, temperature sensors, beeper speaker etc.

Unfortunately, it looks like it's an older firmware so I'm going to have to upgrade them before I get to play around with them.
