Yesterday was Josephine's Gotcha Day. It's been four years since she came home with me. I saw her pic on the shelter website and told myself if she was still there in a week, I'd go meet her. She's the best Empress of Everything Ever.
Here she is helping me set up the Future Log in my planner, making sure I schedule plenty of Quality Kitty Time.

Back from the vets with a large bill.
Because Benji's arthritis is getting worse, and he'll do anything to avoid having his pain meds including starving himself for hours* (also they aren't great as he has early-stage kidney issues), I've agreed to try a novel pain injection. Every 4 weeks there will be a bill for the meds plus the vet.
Trialling it for 3+ months. If it really helps his mobility I may have to resort to crowdfunding it later on, but for now, I can manage.* the usual meds have to be given after a meal every 24hrs, two days in and he wouldn't eat breakfast for a few hours, 4 days in just he'd snack at some random time in the afternoon.

With two healthy long hair senior kitties in the house, grooming has been on my mind a lot. Matting is an unfortunate reality, but I have found there is a lot that can be done. The big one is combing then right after their own grooming. This gets any fur that has shed, but got stuck to the remaining fur. Much easier to get them early then wait until they have to be trimmed out, especially with Mr. Super Sharp Claws the cat. #seniorcat #seniorcats #cat #cats
