Putin kommt zum #Semperopernball und wird verhaftet. -
Mayor of #Freital in #Saxony, Sven Krüger, participated in the Petrovsky-Ball in St.Petersburg on 25. August 2023. He did a speech there in which he said that he is learning #russian because he is an optimist, and he thinks #Russia and #Germany will find back together and overcome difficult times.
He was invited by the organizer of the #Dresden #SemperOpernball who was awarded with a medal by #Putin early this year to which he said "I stand on the side of Russia"Absolutely unacceptable to have people in power that value our liberal democracy so little and rather cuddle with Putin. Sad thing is, he won't be voted out of power for this, since the population of #Freital is infamous for widely (far-) right leaning and likely mostly russia friendly.
