  1. [2/2] …Gloria Estafan for the 𝙎𝙚𝙡𝙚𝙣𝙖 ¡𝙑𝙄𝙑𝙀! tribute concert, Solange Knowles, & Adrienne Bailon. The music video was created off of old video clips & performances, & released posthumously. The song reached number 2 on Billboard's US Hot Latin Songs charts. Her brother, A.B. Quintanilla III remixed this song on his 𝘿𝙪𝙚𝙩𝙤𝙨 album & added a more cumbia vibe to it. #SelenaLaLeyenda #SelenaQuintanillaPerez #JenniferLopez #GloriaEstefan #SolangeKnowles #AdrienneBailon #SelenaVIVE #Duetos

  2. 𝔻𝔸𝕐 𝕋𝕎𝔼ℕ𝕋𝕐-𝔼𝕀𝔾ℍ𝕋: 𝗩𝗲𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗺𝗶𝗴𝗼 is the title track for the album 𝙑𝙚𝙣 𝘾𝙤𝙣𝙢𝙞𝙜𝙤. This song sometimes gets to me because she sings about how until the day she dies, you’ll always be my love. Chris was already contributing to the music at this point and they secretly were dating. I don’t think the song was specifically for him, but it’s crazy how 5 years later, she would be murdered. My favorite is when she performed it for her 𝙇𝙞𝙫𝙚! album.

  3. [2/2] A slightly long version of this song was also included in 𝘿𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙊𝙛 𝙔𝙤𝙪. VH1 created a music video to be used to promote the 3 disc 𝘼𝙣𝙩𝙝𝙤𝙡𝙤𝙜𝙮 album. #MissingMyBaby #SelenaYLosDinos #SelenaLaLeyenda #SelenaQuintanillaPerez #EntreaMiMundo #DreamingofYou #Anthology #FullForce

  4. 𝔻𝔸𝕐 𝕋𝕎𝔼ℕ𝕋𝕐-𝔽𝕀𝕍𝔼: 𝗘𝗹 𝗧𝗼𝘁𝗼 𝗥𝗲𝗹𝗮𝗷𝗼 is from the album 𝘿𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙊𝙛 𝙔𝙤𝙪. This was another song Selena recorded while she was sick. It gave her voice a more textured, hoarse sound to it. This song was also recorded for the 𝘿𝙤𝙣 𝙅𝙪𝙖𝙣 𝘿𝙚𝙈𝙖𝙧𝙘𝙤 movie. As a kid, I loved this just because of the “𝘵𝘰𝘳𝘰, 𝘵𝘰𝘳𝘰, 𝘵𝘰𝘳𝘰𝘰𝘰𝘰𝘰𝘰𝘰𝘰𝘰𝘰𝘰” part. #ElToroRelajo #SelenaYLosDinos #SelenaLaLeyenda #SelenaQuintanillaPerez #DreamingofYou #DonJuanDeMarco

  5. [2/2] Lastly, an acoustic version was released in the Walmart Special Edition of 𝙀𝙣𝙖𝙢𝙤𝙧𝙖𝙙𝙖 𝙙𝙚 𝙏𝙞, the remix album released in 2012. #NoQuieroSaber #SelenaYLosDinos #SelenaLaLeyenda #SelenaQuintanillaPerez #VenConmigo #VocesUnidas #EnamoradadeTi

  6. 𝕋𝕎𝔼ℕ𝕋𝕐-𝕆ℕ𝔼: 𝗜’𝗺 𝗚𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗨𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗬𝗼𝘂 was one of Selena’s English songs from her album 𝘿𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙊𝙛 𝙔𝙤𝙪. It was written by Diane Warren. It talks about someone being in love and getting used to that other person and being around them. This was one of three songs that was also remixed by David Morales. #ImGettingUsedtoYou #SelenaYLosDinos #SelenaLaLeyenda #SelenaQuintanillaPerez #DianeWarren #DavidMorales #DreamingofYou

  7. 𝔻𝔸𝕐 𝕋𝕎𝔼ℕ𝕋𝕐: 𝗡𝗼 𝗗𝗲𝗯𝗲𝘀 𝗝𝘂𝗴𝗮𝗿 was the lead single off of 𝙇𝙞𝙫𝙚! It peaked at number 3 on US Hot Latin Tracks in August 1993. It’s an uptempo Mexican cumbia song with Rock en Español influences. This song was also nominated for Song of the Year at the 1994 Tejano Music Awards and 1994 Lo Nuestro Awards. #NoDebesJugar #SelenaYLosDinos #SelenaLaLeyenda #SelenaQuintanillaPerez #Live

  8. [2/2] Selena & the Barrio Boyzz performed this song at the 1994 Tejano Music Awards. Selena wore these tight pants, with a leather jacket and hair swooped mostly to one side. The look was perfect and is one of my favorite looks of hers. #DondeQuieraQueEstes #WhereverYouAre #AmorProhibido #DreamingofYou #SelenaYLosDinos #SelenaLaLeyenda #SelenaQuintanillaPerez #BarrioBoyzz

  9. [2/3] 𝗜𝘀 𝗜𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝗲𝗮𝘁? was not part of a Selena album, but part of the soundtrack to the 1997 movie, 𝙎𝙚𝙡𝙚𝙣𝙖. There has been several remixes to both songs, but the original 𝗜𝘀 𝗜𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝗲𝗮𝘁? from the soundtrack is my favorite. #VenConmigo #SelenaYLosDinos #SelenaLaLeyenda #SelenaQuintanillaPerez

  10. [2/2] The album was called 𝙐𝙣𝙤𝙨 in Spanish speaking countries. The artwork here is all three artworks for this album. White being the original release, Gray (Silver) being the first time it was released on vinyl in 2016, and Purple, the 2020 vinyl re-release. #ConTantoAmorMedley #Ones #SelenaYLosDinos #SelenaLaLeyenda #SelenaQuintanillaPerez #AmorProhibido #SiUnaVez #ComoLaFlor #ABQuintanillaIII #Unos

  11. [1/2/] 𝔻𝔸𝕐 𝔽𝕀𝔽𝕋𝔼𝔼ℕ: For the 20th anniversary of Selena’s music debut, 𝙊𝙣𝙚𝙨 was released. It was a CD/DVD with 20 songs & 13 music videos. On this compilation, the 𝗖𝗼𝗻 𝗧𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝗔𝗺𝗼𝗿 𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗹𝗲𝘆 was created and included. A.B. Quintanilla III remixed 𝗔𝗺𝗼𝗿 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗵𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗱𝗼, 𝗦𝗶 𝗨𝗻𝗮 𝗩𝗲𝘇, & 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗼 𝗟𝗮 𝗙𝗹𝗼𝗿 into an acoustic version of the songs in one medley. This was the only single from the album. #ConTantoAmorMedley #Ones #SelenaYLosDinos #SelenaLaLeyenda #SelenaQuintanillaPerez #AmorProhibido #SiUnaVez #ComoLaFlor

  12. 𝔻𝔸𝕐 𝔽𝕆𝕌ℝ𝕋𝔼𝔼ℕ: 𝗗𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗳 𝗬𝗼𝘂 is the title track for the album, 𝘿𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙤𝙛 𝙔𝙤𝙪. This song was originally written in 1989 for The Jets, an American R&B group. The Jets turned down the record. One of the composers for the song, offered it to Selena for her all English album. The song charted to number 9 on the Billboard US Adult Contemporary and number 11 on the US Hot Latin Songs. #DreamingofYou #DreamingofYouAlbum #SelenaYLosDinos #SelenaLaLeyenda #SelenaQuintanillaPerez

  13. 𝔻𝔸𝕐 𝕋ℍ𝕀ℝ𝕋𝔼𝔼ℕ: Selena’s first solo music video was 𝗟𝗮 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗮 from the album 𝙀𝙣𝙩𝙧𝙚 𝙖 𝙈𝙞 𝙈𝙪𝙣𝙙𝙤. The song talks about a woman who’s boyfriend maybe isn’t the best looking, doesn’t have the nicest car, isn’t rich, but treats her like a Queen. When released, the song didn’t chart, but in the 2010’s, it entered the Latin charts and was certified triple platinum in the US. #LaCarcacha #SelenaYLosDinos #SelenaLaLeyenda #SelenaQuintanillaPerez #EntreaMiMundo

  14. 𝔻𝔸𝕐 𝕋𝕎𝔼𝕃𝕍𝔼: 𝗬𝗮 𝗩𝗲𝘀 is the opening track of Selena’s album, 𝙑𝙚𝙣 𝘾𝙤𝙣𝙢𝙞𝙜𝙤. The song is about a woman who is left by her boyfriend and later he returns wanting her back. I think my favorite version of this song is from the 𝙇𝙞𝙫𝙚! album. #YaVes #VenConmigo #SelenaYLosDinos #SelenaLaLeyenda #SelenaQuintanillaPerez

  15. [2/2] When Selena recorded this song, she was sick, so her voice had a bit more raspy tone to it. She hesitated in recording because she didn’t want it to sound bad, but after her dad pushed her to give it a try, it turned out to be perfect and the hoarse voice blended well with the ranchera / mariachi style of the song.

  16. [1/2] 𝔻𝔸𝕐 𝕋𝔼ℕ: Another cover, 𝗧𝘂, 𝗦𝗼𝗹𝗼 𝗧𝘂 was written by Felipe Valdés Leal, a Mexican song writer, in 1949. There have been several covers of this song, but the most memorable, in my opinion, was Selena’s version from the 𝘿𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙤𝙛 𝙔𝙤𝙪 album. It originally was made for the movie 𝘿𝙤𝙣 𝙅𝙪𝙖𝙣 𝘿𝙚𝙈𝙖𝙧𝙘𝙤 released in 1995 with Marlon Brando, Johnny Depp, & Faye Dunaway.

  17. 𝔻𝔸𝕐 ℕ𝕀ℕ𝔼: 𝗟𝗮 𝗟𝗹𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗱𝗮 was released on the album 𝙇𝙞𝙫𝙚! And uptempo Mexican cumbia song about women empowerment. I loved the video so much, I wanted to be part of the group of people hanging out there. Of course I was a kid when I first seen it but I still do, even now as an adult. #LaLlamada #Live #SelenaYLosDinos #SelenaLaLeyenda #SelenaQuintanillaPerez

  18. 𝔻𝔸𝕐 𝔼𝕀𝔾ℍ𝕋: 𝗣𝘂𝗲𝗱𝗲 𝗦𝗲𝗿 is a song by Selena and Puerto Rican / Dominican singer, Nando “Guero” Dominguez. This was originally supposed to be released on Nando’s album, but was having trouble with getting the tone right. Selena recorded the song and then later, after she was killed, it was released as the only single from her greatest hits collection, 𝙈𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙤𝙨 𝙄𝙣𝙩𝙞𝙢𝙤𝙨. The song reach number 40 on the Latin Singles Airplay chart. This was the last song Selena ever recorded. #SelenaLaLeyenda #Selena

  19. [2/2] I remember watching the video & wanting to be there on that beach with everyone, having a good time. In 2012, 𝙀𝙣𝙖𝙢𝙤𝙧𝙖𝙙𝙖 𝘿𝙚 𝙏𝙞, a remix album was released which included 𝗕𝗶𝗱𝗶 𝗕𝗶𝗱𝗶 𝗕𝗼𝗺 𝗕𝗼𝗺 as a duet between Selena & Selena Gomez while still keeping a similar sound to the song. #BidiBidiBomBom #AmorProhibido #SelenaYLosDinos #SelenaLaLeyenda #SelenaQuintanillaPerez #PeteAstudillo #EnamoradaDeTi #SelenaGomez

  20. 𝔻𝔸𝕐 𝔽𝕆𝕌ℝ: ¿𝗤𝘂𝗲 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗶𝗮𝘀? is one of my favorites. This comes from the 𝙀𝙣𝙩𝙧𝙚 𝙖 𝙈𝙞 𝙈𝙪𝙣𝙙𝙤 album. This ranchera style song was so fun to watch Selena perform live. She would bring up an audience member to the stage who was her “boyfriend” and demonstrate how to break up with them. At the end, she would always ask the audience to give a round of applause to her “ex-boyfriend”. #QueCreias #SelenaYLosDinos #SelenaLaLeyenda #SelenaQuintanillaPerez #EntreaMiMundo

  21. DAY THREE: Another song Selena y Los Dinos covered was La Bamba. I think the most notable rendition of the song was from Ritchie Valens. The reason why I like Selena y Los Dinos' version so much is that you can tell it's from their early days. Selena didn't speak Spanish in the earlier years and in the song, you can hear her say, "Oye tu, ven pa'qua" instead of "ven pa'ca". This song is from her self titled 1989 album, Selena. #LaBamba #SelenaYLosDinos #SelenaLaLeyenda #SelenaQuintanillaPerez

  22. DAY TWO: Keeping with songs Selena covered (and in my opinion made better) is Fotos y Recuerdos. This is a cover / remake of a song called Back On The Chain Gang by The Prentenders. This was on Selena's last album she released, Amor Prohibido. #FotosYRecuerdos #SelenaYLosDinos #SelenaLaLeyenda #SelenaQuintanillaPerez #AmorProhibido

  23. [2/2] Gloria Gaynor's I Will Survive, Lipps Inc.'s Funkytown, Donna Summer's Last Dance, Van McCoy & Soul City Symphony's The Hustle, & Donna Summer's On The Radio.
