#Segway was owned for a while by James William "Jimi" Heselden, an English ex-coal miner who became wealthy by manufacturing a collapsible wire mesh and fabric container system.Heselden died after accidentally driving a Segway off a cliff in West #Yorkshire.
"On the morning of 26 September 2010, Heselden was riding his Segway while walking his dog near Thorp Arch; when he reversed the Segway to allow a dog walker to get past him, he fell from a nearby cliff into the River Wharfe. ... The coroner concluded that Heselden had died of "multiple blunt force injuries of the chest and spine consistent with a fall whilst riding a gyrobike". Welp, I'm gonna do it.
There's no external issue with my scooter wheel that I can find, and after researching, I'm fairly certain there's probably a wheel bearing that got cracked or is otherwise no longer viable.
I found a very good YT tutorial for how to fix it, so I'm going to take a long, deep breath and repair it myself.
(Once my new tools arrive.)
