Few gardening pictures. First one has some cuttings that I struck tonight, from top Thymus sp. Ex. Turkey, Hylotelephium, Savoury and Sedum (Hispanicum or Acre not aureum). Second picture is to illustrate wire mesh that is necessary to prevent Squirrels and co nibbling fruit saplings. Sheffield Fruit Trees (who should establish a Fediverse presence IMO) said on Instagram that they were having Badger issues so having to upgrade barriers. #propagation #satureja #hylotelephium #sedum

I built a bin shed with green roof 18 months ago. Pleased with how it has turned out. Sedum/ Petrosedum rupestre has started to dominate and I will thin it out and plant a few plugs of other things in this autumn. Bees love it though. #greenroof #sedum #petrosedum #stonecrop #pollinators

It's definitely #sedum season! This Chinese #stonecrop started as a single 2-3" cutting from a potted succulent arrangement a few years ago. Now it's the size of a couple pizza boxes, and I'm using cuttings from this one to fill various gaps around the backyard.
Can't believe how hardy this is, given our #Memphis winters have been getting down to 0F or lower since I planted this. #garden

Sedum divergens, one of our lesser known native sedums in B.C.
I propagated this from a small cutting of one we found in the yard at the place we rent and I decided to see if it would work as a container plant. Three years in and I think it's a success. Going to take some cuttings and introduce more into the drier parts of our yard.
