Nancy Beers' keynote at #SecurityDays 2026 had the whole room on its feet, playing games and laughing together.
We spoke with her recently to learn more about what "Play More Today. Secure Tomorrow" means for security culture, from how a simple box of LEGO bricks can make abstact discussions come alive, to why she believes cybersecurity can't exist in silos.

At #SecurityDays 2026, teams from NRENs across Europe and beyond took part in a Capture the Flag (CTF) competition hosted by RNP, the Brazilian NREN.
The winners? Dimitris Kolotouros and Marios Levogiannis from GRNET, who balanced quick wins with strategic problem-solving under pressure.
Beyond the rankings, the real value was in the shared experience: teams learning when to persist, when to pivot, and how to think collectively.

This is known as #SocialEngineering.
How would a room full of #security professionals behave when we invite them to socially engineer each other?
We recently ran a social engineering exercise at the GÉANT #SecurityDays and the results are in: https://connect.geant.org/2024/04/16/let-me-hack-you
