Kein Prequel, kein Reboot sondern tatsächlich neue Ideen für den nächsten #startrek Film. Ich bin überrascht.

Schlechter als #section31 kann es nicht werden und Prequels gab es nun genug.

I also watched a few episodes of DS9 with a friend in celebration, and came upon this brilliant episode with angry critique towards Section 31, and some amazing romulans (❤️) I’m so happy they used to clearly state how bad and unethical of an idea a secret service is inside an open democratic society, and just straight up yell at those defending it or allowing it to exist. (Spoilers for season 7!)

Okay I’ve heard some of y’all’s opinions on #Section31, both with and without actually seeing it. And I chose to watch it.

Definitely not traditional #StarTrek. And I went into it knowing full well it wasn’t.

You know what? For just a simple story based on Star Trek lore, I enjoyed it just fine. No, it wasn’t amazing, but I didn’t think it deserves some of the negativity I’ve read.

Then again, I’ve never watched ANY Star Trek I flat out hated.

I also liked Star Wars Eps. 1 & 7-9, so booyah!

So, nun habe ich mir #startrek #section31 angesehen. Ehrlich - ich wollte nix sagen aber das muss raus:
Ich hatte wirklich keine großen Erwartungen, aber dieses Werk hat sie noch mal deutlich unterboten. Wow - langweilig. Mission-Impossible im Weltall, Priorität auf „hey wir sind so cool“ mit viel zu langen „ach wie witzige Sprüche“-Austausch a la Guardians of the Galaxy oder so. Aber sonst? Wackeln, prügeln, Gewalt und etwa 30 Sekunden Story um alte Freundschaften und späte Erkenntnisse. Puh

If there's a #Section31 sequel, they should see if Jaqueline Kim is interested in reprising her role as Demora Sulu.

At 55, she'd be a good age to portray a now Captain Sulu aboard Enterprise B. Novels have that ship go missing after a report of an unknown contagion, perhaps they could tell that story on screen?

And if Legacy happens, an elderly Captain Sulu could limp her ship back home and join with Enterprise G to fully resolve the situation that Section 31 and Enterprise B could only delay.

Die beste Filmpromo seit langem die ich auf Youtube gesehen habe. Wollen wir hoffen das der Film ähnlich gut wird. Nach den ganzen Enttäuschungen der letzten Zeit mit #Schneewitchen #Minecraft #Section31 #Electricstate und dutzender anderer Schrottfilme hätten wir echt mal wieder gute Unterhaltung verdient. What the heck is that? I watched Section 31 today and still don't know whether to laugh or cry. What happened to the Star Trek feeling? This is pure trash. I think it's bringing tears to @georgetakei 's eyes. I'm just still in shock. Really unbelievably bad from my point of view, not just from a Trekie point of view.

TV movie review: Star Trek: Section 31

As a Star Trek pilot it's merely OK. As a stand-alone movie, it's a mess. It could have been retooled as a good heist film, but wasn't.

But I was going to watch this anyway, because Michelle Yeoh is always compelling. As awful a person as Mirror Georgiou is, the character is fascinating to watch - particularly when she's navigating the different rules of the Prime universe.

Plus some thoughts on the premise of the organization itself, Captain Sisko's actions in "In the Pale Moonlight," and Discovery's portrayal of the Federation/Klingon war.
