SECTION 25 is a band originally from Blackpool, England, formed in 1978. They are known for their association with Factory Records, a Manchester-based label, and their music often falls under the genres of wave, post-punk, and synth-pop. The band's early work was produced by Martin Hannett, Ian Curtis, and Rob Gretton, with Curtis and Gretton also involved in their debut single and album, "Always Now". A notable track from their later period, influenced by New Order's Factory sound, is "Looking From A Hilltop", which became a club hit.
Section 25 was formed by brothers Vincent and Larry Cassidy in Blackpool, Lancashire, in April 1978. They were part of the Factory Records roster, alongside bands like Joy Division, A Certain Ratio, and Durutti Column. In 2024 the released a new album called 'Move ON'.

The new federal offense would be punishable by up to $10,000 and 15 years in prison—a far harsher penalty than is the case under many states' laws, which generally already criminalize walking or standing on the highway. The bill provides an exception for 'any lawful activity' authorized by federal, state, or local law. However, it could still seemingly cover far more than 'blocking' the interstate, including a #PeacefulProtest on the shoulder of an interstate or a convoy-style, driving protest that slowed traffic. The sponsor of the bill made clear that it was in response to protesters. The same bill was introduced as HR 7349 in 2024.

UK reissue.The version I have on my hands doesn't even have an image on Discogs, and when I bought it new last month at the record store it had a stamp of being put on the shelf in 2018. This compilation album I feel is similar to #factoryrecords lablemates #NewOrder's Substance, in that it shows a development from #PostPunk towards #alternativedance with a hint of #synthpop, not chronological. I will look into more by Section 25!
