Heute war mal wieder 1€ Tag im Second Hand Shop.
Auch dieses Mal haben wir geniale Teile gefunden.
Es macht so viel mehr Spaß als bei den üblichen Verdächtigen einzukaufen, wo es dann auch nur die modischen Farben und Schnitte gibt.
Natürlich müssen ein paar Kleinigkeiten geändert werden, aber das macht ja auch Spaß. -

The junk sale was bit disappointing compared to previous years.
What I did find:
- Nice quality dog walking jacket (5 euro)
- Blue glass candlestick, guy threw in a porcelain soap dish as a gift.
- Winter Boots!! REAL LEATHER (Printed parts sadly not). BRAND NEW SMELL. 3 EUROS.
There was a pile of motorcycle gear as well, but all too big or too small.
Very VERY happy w the boots tho. They seem very well made.

One of my work-friends strongly recommended going to the charity shops while I'm in London on vacation (they are, indeed, very different from thrift shops in Canada!) and I found an absolute TREASURE: 4 balls of genuine wool/alpaca yarn for £10 altogether (they were marked at £3/ball but the boys at the counter insisted on only taking a ten since I was getting 4 of them). No cute new dresses or the like (I did try a few things on but nothing seemed like I'd get real wear out of it), but this one find makes the 3-ish hours spent going through a half-dozen shops MORE than worth it.
