Surprisingly clean Roker beach #Sunderland - suspect gales the day before had blown a lot of surface debris off the beach, and sadly it’ll all appear again soon.
Our #SeaShepherdUK
volunteers still took 13 bags of #marinedebris off.

Productive weekend on the beaches with #SeaShepherdUK
Saturday, three of us digging and dragging off #ghostnet plus assorted tyres and lobster pots up in Northumberland.
Sunday, Blast Beach at Seaham, with a great turn out. 29 bags taken off, along with the usual weird industrial stuff, and a tractor tyre to haul to the top of a 30m cliff, and then 3/4 of a mile along the top, managing not to skittle any members of the public on the way which would have been a bit awkward.
Impromptu #beachclean at Roker with T: dozens of bottle tops, rope and fabric binned, bottles/cans, shoes, nitrous canisters - and beach whistles beat shotgun cartridges 23 to 12. #2minutebeachclean #marinedebris #everypiececounts #SeaShepherdUK
Forecast for our #SeaShepherdUK beach clean at Whitburn #SouthTyneside tomorrow morning is rain, feels like 2 degrees, and gusts up to 30mph, so a lovely bracing NE day...if coming, dress for the weather please.
