  1. On 12 Nov 1901, the three masted wooden Barquentine Hampton, a collier owned by McCormicks of Kingstown (Dun Laoghaire), coal merchants, was wrecked between Seapoint and Salthill. She lay almost alongside the railway wall for some time and was apparently broken up on the shore. The National Library of Ireland. No known copyright restrictions.
