That was fun! We went back to #Seaford Beach parkrun this morning. At 6am it was still pelting down, and the fog in Woodingdean was, well, standard for Woodingdean. But we got down onto the coast and were greeted by a cool, westerly, brisk breeze which made for a fast trot down to the Martello tower and a slower slog back. Happy with my 24:03 time. #running

My left knee and right ankle were protesting during the warm-up for this morning’s 8km with Sophie but the birdsong started at 4am, the cats heard me stirring at 4:30 and you know the power of accountability for getting out there 🤷‍♂️😁 Nothing like a stretch in the morning for powering me through some tidying before work. Now I’m hoping that the forecast is wrong about the chance of rain at 9am tomorrow, as I’m taking some friends down to #Seaford beach #parkrun. #running

I haven’t done many parkruns (just prefer longer distances) but they are useful for convincing less confident friends that they can do it. Today’s was a warm, sunny, flat run at Seaford beach with Alex. Crowded at the start but a lovely, straightforward out and back, passing the Martello tower and beautiful views. #running #parkrun #Seaford

Seen on a great 20 mile #walk with the @Metwalkers passing the Long Man of Wilmington, the Litlington White Horse, then this whilst heading down into #Seaford.

Of course the cliffs and the sea are the star in this region not clear why all the southern seaside towns are not teeming with national and overseas tourists. Also a story of extremes large money and poverty side by side..#Seaford #Brighton

A town next to #Eastbourne where the royals famously visit and by #Brighton - aka “london on sea” Not good enough to see this old EU funded garden spot here- doing its best to cheer up the place. Need some hope for people here. Even the solicitors office looked run down..#Seaford.

Looks like whatever #Seaford had it has less of it now. Lack of investment here appears to have killed what should be a fab coastal town and tourist spot.

Stopped in #Seaford right next to #Brighton - should be thriving but such a poor town - hard up people evident at every turn in the high street..
