I've just received aircraft all the way into France and Germany from high up north in the Netherlands.

This setup shows the reception of #adsb in #sdrangel receiving about 140 frames per second using an #sdrplay rsp v1.

Bought a cheap #saw + #lna together with a small antenna for #adsb really impressed by the result so far. This is still inside the house.

The setup also uses an #rtlsdr using the #sdrangel Android app.

You might want to have a look at #SDRPlusPlus. I find it easier to use and more pleasant to look at than #gqrx.

Also have a look ad #SDRAngel. That has some handing tools inbuilt to decode packet/aprs, adsb and many other digital signals.

Best personal time spent on your PTO is a satellite well tracked. Here is the #NOAA-19 satellite on the #LY1BWB station's #sdrangel monitor. The sat emitted two near-infrared and infrared images that I was able to capture during 90% of the orbit pass. I've done many satellites, but this is my first NOAA downlink! Whooa!

Any body with any experience with SDRAngel on Linux? I want to decode DMR/DStar/ect but can't find the DSD (Digital Speech Decoder) in any menu. Is there something special I need to do or do I need something specific to do it?
I am using a RTL-SDR v3, and I can get other things to decode like APRS. I just can't figure out how or where the DSD is.

@jesuislibre J'ai réussi à reboucler et à démoduler un mélange de signaux I/Q provenant de trois modulateurs : NFM, AM et WFM. J'ai utilisé le WFM avec un fichier de signaux AGWN pour créer un bruit de fond. Même si c'est un peu boiteux, c'était assez élégant. Il faut que j'essaie cela en RF, par voie hertzienne maintenant. #sdrangel

Une fois compris comment fonctionne #SDRAngel, et avoir blacklisté les modules en conflit, ça fonctionne bien sur le #SteamDeck (encore un usage plutôt WTF)

After a few runs, I added a reversed LNA (I know, I'm cheap) and got better SNR.

@vk6flab Great! It's amazing how far a weak signal can be decoded!

BTW I have a compromise antenna (balcony telescopic + counterpoise) so everything beyond 1 km will be a success!

If I can't get it to transmit directly from WSJT-X, I plan to use #sdrangel to do the TX part.

Any #HamRadio, #telcom or other RF-interested folks want to take a guess as to what this signal might be? I can't figure it out.

Starts at 418.360MHz and is about 13.5MHz wide (ends around 431.880MHz), with a soft peak around 428 where it's about 11dB above the noise floor using an indoor 24" whip.

It's too low for LTE Band 31/72/73 or the 450MHz stuff. Super clean edges.

FCC freq DB just says "CDMA 5,450 UPLINK" from 410-446.5 with no other explanation.

Started the morning playing with #sdrangel sending SMS and voice using #m17_project protocol. Was using HackRF and PlutoSDR hardware. Should of made screenshots. Perhaps later. After some errands finally got some time behind a soldering iron to finish soldering one of my Module 17 boards. Finished SMD work, still have a couple through hole components, and need to flash #openrtx firmware to device. Been a fun #hamradio hardware and software day. #sdr

I mostly use brew/homebrew, but here are a handful of programs that are macports only. Just installed #SDRangel through ports as a result. (Even on an M1 Mac, it was 1 hr+ of compiling for a dependency that had to be built from scratch!)

I got #SDRAngel running on my MacBook Air M1 last night late. Installed via MacPorts, which included a very long compile step of a dependency.

Favorite feature so far is using a KiwiSDR as an input device, though only with a fixed and narrow input bandwidth.

Really pleased with the new Pop!_OS for Raspberry Pi. I've been using the OS on my personal laptop for years, but have been suffering with Raspbian on my Pi 400 for a while. This is a great, modern upgrade and is much easier to get interesting ham radio stuff compiled on. #hamradio #raspberrypi #popos #sdrangel #js8call

It is the first SDR software I've tried that is really good! Low CPU usage and very radio-ish.
Lots of interesting modules like packet, APRS, DMR/dstar/fusion, etc.
Wide support for SDR hardware.
