Laut einer Studie der University of Tasmania.
Das hatten Forscher*innen in #Kiel auch schon mal festgestellt. Man hat sogar modelliert wie man die Fischerei erhalten kann. Aber leider hat die Politik halt höhere Quoten zugelassen und z.B. "private" Fänge ignoriert.

Der Great Pacific Garbage Patch ist der größte mit 3 Millionen Tonnen Gewicht und einer Größe von Mitteleuropa.
