April 24th was set as Confederate Memorial Day in Georgia in 1866. Since then, the date has marked a way for racists to display their hatred.
The landmark of Stone Mountain outside Atlanta has also served as a crucial nationwide symbol for racists. In 1970, the natural beauty of this granite formation was defaced by a carving of Confederate generals designed to serve as a rebuke to the Black Power and Civil Rights movements of the 1960s.

On April 26th, 2026, the Sons of Confederate Veterans will again hold their annual participation trophy circlejerk. They will again proclaim "Heritage not Hate," although very few people believe that anymore (stay tuned for a research post soon on the SCV's Nazi and white supremacist overlap). The Georgia SCV's keynote speaker on Saturday is John Weaver. As well as being heavily involved with neo-Confederate circles, Weaver has a long history with racist groups such as the Council of Conservative Citizens.
The SCV have the support of state legislators and all the protection of our modern police state. And we (as in the people of Georgia) are still going to sandblast Stone Mountain. If not this year, eventually. So to the SCV: enjoy your carving while you can, losers!

I just saw the largest protest I’ve ever seen in Santa Clarita. For block after block along Valencia Blvd people were out on the streets protesting the Trump administration, Elon Musk, and Republican leaders who support them. Even the likes of Mike Garcia weren’t safe from scrutiny.
I’ve never seen so many people come together in protest of a single cause. Not even the pro-Trump drive-by last year was this big. There were so many people out today you couldn’t even see the sidewalk. Drivers were out honking in solidarity. Even bus drivers and the sheriff tooted their horns.
Based on what was written on those signs, it’s very obvious even conservatives where I live are livid with the Trump administration. It’s honestly heartwarming to see everyone come together like this in support of democratic values and against the absurdity of this administration’s actions.
My elderly passenger commented that it drew uncomfortable parallels to the civil rights protests he witnessed in the 1960s.

Die alten Ventile raus- und die neuen danach reinzuschrauben ist kein Problem.
Auch den Kopf der Pumpe zu wechseln geht ganz schnell; aber solange ich nicht alle meine Ventile wechsel, brauche ich halt eine zweite Pumpe (oder eben einen Adapter, der ja wieder eine potenzielle Fehlerquelle ist - aber halt auch trotzdem zwingend nötig ist, solange diese Ventile nicht flächendeckend vorhanden sind).

On est d'accord.. et c'est pas comme si il n'existait pas déjà des myriades de solutions pour ne pas engraisser des régimes autoritaires et/ou empoisonner des territoires complets (mines de phosphate au maroc) avec l'agroécologie: le non labour #acs, non pesticides, pas d'engrais de synthèse, #scv, haies, agroforesterie..(c'est pas avec le résultat des élections européennes et des chambre d'agriculture que ça va évoluer malheureusement)

Riparian areas around what are now the town of Piru, the Six Flags Employee Parking Lot, Bridgeport, Old Saugus/Valencia Valley, and Vista Canyon were at one point a network of Tataviam villages.

Super vidéo à l'ENSAT de Toulouse du pape de l'#agriculture sans labour, #LucienSeguy qui nous a quitté trop tôt (2020). Franc parler, va à 300 l'heure mais passionnant, il parle de son expérience sur le terrain au brésil entre autre.
Toutes les erreurs de l'agriculture conventionnelle dans les climats tropicaux sont décuplées par l'humidité et la chaleur et sont des révélateurs de ce qui arrive ici en plus lent.
