@workingclasshistory this remains one of the most scary and disgusting things happening in my proximity. I for real thought a fascist revolution was happening. I’m not sure the rest of the world are properly aware of this incident. The manifesto that Breivik wrote is possibly one of the most read terrorism tracts, studied by nazis and IS alike. It contained things that made the secret services and police understand that they were completely unaware of certain things, like isotopes to be used to poison water.
This is all extremely diabolical, one single person doing two separate terrorist attacks in two places the same day. The most horrific was probably that he, disguised as a police officer, assassinated as many social democratic youth as possible, because then he would destroy that party’s future. He killed 77, mostly youth and youth leaders, slowly hunting them down on the small Utøya island. 242 were wounded.
