the #stack i'm learning from: #freecodecamp (spine), #encode iOS app (refresher), #w3schools (reference), #scrimba #obsidian for notes, #vscodium for building.
16-week roadmap: #HTML → #css → #js → #react → #tailwind → #sql → #python → #p5 .js → #CAPSTONE
the self-admin structure forces honesty — no one's grading you. the work either happened or it didn't.
week 1: it happened.

Introducing Next Editor [nexteditor.dev]
I built an opensource alternative to Scrimba.
You can create interactive coding lessons with Next Editor. Unlike flat videos, you can pause to try editing the codes. Consider it like video vs video game. Here, Next Editor is a video game but for coders.Star the repo if you like it.

This year's end of year update from @AntennaPod (similar to Spotify's end of year thing, but private and generated on your phone): top winners (no surprise) are:
* @LateNightLinux family of podcasts
* @linuxuserspace
* #TraceroutePodcast (mainly because I binged seasons 1&2)Surprised the #Scrimba podcast isn't in the top 5, but they have been slowing down since I started using this app (a couple of months). Look forward to seeing what 2024 brings!

#Javascriptmas Day1
Last year #Scrimba had us post our solutions to their discord. Now they're making us post to the xitter🚽🤢🤮. I'm not doing that.

#todayIWill catch-up on Module 4 of my #scrimba course before moving on to Mod6: responsive web design.
Meanwhile, I've been intrigued by the Casini #endevourOS, so I'm going to give that a try.

_finally_ finished my latest #scrimba solo project, the restaurant ordering app. It was a heck of a slog, but I've learnt a lot.
It's not perfect, I know. I just wanted to get it finished.

@afb @linuxuserspace thanks, yet _another_ podcast I'm going to have to download 😂
I like #HTMLAllTheThings, #Scrimba, #CodeNewbies and have tried a few #FrontEndHappyHour, but they're a bit advanced for me. The #noDegreePodcast and #myceliumNetworkPodcast are more general tech ones. And if you want to lose several weeks, go through the (now closed) backlog of #commandlineHeroes which is fascinating and run by #RedHat -
