  1. A #ScaleModel project finally finished: german Pz.Kpfw. IV H #WW2 #panzer #tank in 1:72 with a #ScratchBuilt #diorama.

The airbrushed camo turned out quite well, I think. So did the mild weathering and the gravel road, though the stones could have been a bit smaller. Making the house ruin look realistic was really difficult; it took me three attempts and I'm still not quite happy with the result.

All in all quite fun! Looking forward to the next project, probably in a different scale.

  2. This one seemed to go down well, including the thread which followed the building and painting process - may do another some time 🙂 The Gnoll's Head Inn, designed as part of a boomtown on the outskirts of Felstad in #Frostgrave #nerdlings #minaturepainting #scratchbuilt #wargamesterrain

  3. What, more photos of the TOS Star Trek mk2 phaser prop replica? Yes.

    And there will be more.

  4. The right side of the dino- / Deino-bot model.

The raised leg could either be as part of running, or attacking. As this is based on Deinonychus it has the single large toe claw and an attack would be with a kick.

  5. The first pistol you are given in The Outer Worlds.

    1:1 scale prop replica.
Built from scratch using wood, plastic and epoxy putty.

It's not the best choice, it's Spacer's choice!

  6. A final photo of the large train display base.

When adding the grass I thought about how this kind of terrain breaks up and patches of grass move downhill until it becomes mud.

But I made sure to add a small path down from the hut to the track to show an often traversed route.

  11. Some more views of the Deino-bot / Dino-bot.

I wanted a dynamic pose and settled for running as that, at least, gave me one point of contact with the ground.

There's a thick wire up from the base into the hips that is hidden within the leg. This allowed me to keep the legs thin without the risk of breaking.

  12. Some close-ups and an overhead shot of the Goblin Vs. Dwarf piece.

The overhead photo shows the painted shadows really well.

  13. Some closer views of the large train display base (for tiny N-Gauge trains).

You can even see the lines I added to the telegraph poles using rigging line.

  18. A few more angles of the Goblin Vs. Dwarf diorama.

Here you see each figure lit from the front (near side, on the right of the photo).

And a view of the Dwarf from the Goblin king's perspective.

  19. Last few angles of the custom built Lightsabre.

While the few metal parts are left as they are, the plastic pieces were painted in various metallic finishes to match the feel of a typical lightsabre.

  20. More angles of the Goblin king Vs. Dwarf diorama.

The base was built up from layers of scrap card, covered in tissue/PVA and then some plaster for texture.

  21. Close-up views of the details of The Mechanic.

The chunk of metal on the base? That's some dried paint that had captured a bubble, leaving this I-beam-like cross-section.

The colour of the body is a nod to construction work, and the label "KDC" is one letter removed from a company in that space.

Also, the tools are coloured as Black&Decker tools, for another nod.

  26. All round views of my custom made laser-sword.

The build included a metal shower pole, part of a clip-on clothes hanger, a bobbin, a drinks bottle cap, a plastic test tube, and part of a vacuum cleaner's wheel.

  27. A #structure I've been working on for about a week for my 2-in-1 HO scale model railway layout. It is a covered 'over the track' conveyor for crushed stone, and a small #building at the end which houses a chute which is used to load railway hopper cars.
    .
The model is made from #balsa , corrugated #cardboard painted to look like corrugated iron, match stick like wood pieces, and printed industrial door.
