This post is frankly depressing… The bottom line is that the only reason git.kernel.org can stay afloat despite the unrelenting assault by #AI #scrappers is that they can rely on 90 CPU cores to run the service, so they can easily afford to have “14 –16 cores that are constantly doing nothing but rendering commits for scrapers” – and that’s with all the countermeasures they have put in place, including stuff such as #Anubis.
Where does that leave more modest self-hosted Git forges, if you need at least a dozen CPU cores just to support the load caused by AI scrapping?
