A common or harbour seal pup, admiring its reflection in the calm waters of the sea loch.

Actually it was waiting for high tide before swimming off, but the image suggests otherwise.

The birth of these seals is helpful for the white-tailed eagles here on Mull, as the eagles make a meal of the afterbirth, and because they're messy to eat often makes their white tails, red.

Ptarmigan.

I'm not one for hiking up mountains, but the reward of seeing these elusive birds, ptarmigan, makes the effort worthwhile.

This male was keeping a close eye on us as we watched him and his partner, making their way through the powdery snow near the top of the mountain.

Heron, fog, sea, reflection.

Captured last week when a thick haar settled over the Firth of Forth for a few days.

Stags are much more vocal during the autumn rutting season when they start gathering females for their harems, and will produce loud guttural roars and barks. Roaring can act as a declaration of size and strength, a challenge to potential competition, or a way of reaffirming status.

I'm a big fan of late evening forest walks.

The light isn't great for photography, but personal experiences are second to none.

This deer isn't really looking at me in this picture. I was in a full ghillie suit & hidden in a bush. A fox sprinted 6 feet in front of me - between the deer and my hiding spot - chasing a hare.

Didn't get a chance to capture the fox or the hare, but look at this pretty lady 😊

A curious squirrel on a train track.

Edinburgh is full of hidden gems such as this old train line, which is now only 30m long (including a bridge over Water of #Leith)

It's been taken over by nature and offers a safe haven for squirrels, foxes and local birds.

I consider myself lucky living in a capital with so many magical green spaces.
