  1. I swapped to #OctopusEnergy who promised they can swap the meter (more than #ScottishPower have said).
Does anyone have a referral code I can retro actively add?

  2. What a fucking palaver of technology and integration #failure!
#ScottishPower refuse to swap my card gas meter with a #smartmeter.
I try and top up the card at #Asda , which they do, then only accepted cash.
I've not used cash, or a physical card for months, so had neither on me.
That's fine, nearest #Barclays ATM, and use contactless cash. But no, they discontinued that in July.
I finally found my card at home, had to use cashback at the store, and managed to get my gas card back, 10 minutes before they shut.

Anyone with an ounce of sense can see how any ones of these step could be fixed to give actually sensible user experience, but no, they don't care.

  3. Called again first thing this morning. Had an engineer visit, and swap for a prepay (non smart) gas meter so at least it's back on.
While he was here, I spoke to #ScottishPower again, and convinced them to arrange another visit to get the electric meter connected again.
After that, I can swap *back* to a smart gas meter, which can then by switched to credit mode.
    What a fucking palava...
    I still hate tech!

  4. They didn't come round.
But while waiting for them to not come round...
#ScottishPower: "Your meter's not working. Can you do the job of the several million pounds of infrastructure we forcibly rolled out, and give us a meter reading?"

  5. See also trying to enter a 20 digit number on a 2 button keypad that times out and switches off if I take more than 2s to find and read the next set of digits.
Because it won't connect it to the electric meter that #ScottishPower also can't be bothered to connect properly.

  6. Why I hate tech...
#ScottishPower refuse to switch my #SmartMeter to credit, so now needs a £400 topup.
#PostOffice can only do this by pretending to do a cash withdrawal (money laundering?).
And it exceeds my daily withdrawal limit...
Absolute shit! This should be a single online form!
