  9. Still part way through our Walker’s shortbread taste test, but switching to Dean’s tonight. It is never a good start when what looks like it will be a pack of 8 shortbread fingers turns out to be 7 fingers! And apparently that’s the correct amount. However, on plus, the shortbread is very melt in the mouth, not as dry as Sainsbury’s or as overly buttery as Walker’s. After Brisgein featured in a fascinating post by @Derqui , I headed down the rabbit hole; found #gaidhlig aran-brisgein, a bread made with the plant roots, noted a Rubha nam Brisgein on Ronay, then the plant's #wikipedia article (as Argentina Anserina), which indicates the root was eaten in North America and Tibet. Apparently it is called Richette in France, though nothing on fr.wiki
