@uncomics I think it depends on your definitions of "comics"; if you're using #ScottMcCloud's “juxtaposed pictorial and other images in deliberate sequence, intended to convey information and/or to produce an aesthetic response in the viewer” the issue hinges on the sequence, and also on the reason for the division. In a comics space there isn't really a material reason for the division of the #drawing (or #painting) into separate panels other than generating a sequence...
