  12. #Scotstober word 31 baigie. I've an idea for using all three turnip Scots words regarding genocidal ethnic hatred but I'll do it in a weeks time. So here's one for baigie. Even a turnip contributing makes AI more intelligent than AI on its own. Plus we had a cosmic burst from the sun this week. But we survived.

  17. Pleased to see the March 2024 issue of Burns Chronicle is newly out from EUP. This issue includes my book review of "Scottish Poetry, 1730-1830" edited by Daniel Cook - a review free for all to read online. In a nutshell I really liked it, though since I was asked to write about 1000 words in my review I said much more than that! euppublishing.com/toc/burns/13 #ScottishLiterature #ScottishPoetry #RobertBurns #Poetry #18thCentury #EighteenthCentury #Scots #ScotsLeid #Gaelic #Poems #BookReview #Scotland

  18. Catching #KateHumble in south #Ayrshire, and she’s learning about Ayrshire #potatoes. I’m a bit disappointed that the words “tattie howking” haven’t been uttered. 23. Checking some legal paperwork, and wryly amused at having - again - to correct the word deputy written wrongly instead of depute. The latter is still used in Scotland for someone in a deputy post. But the number of Scottish professionals we’ve had to correct re this … #Scots #ScotsLeid #ScotsLanguage #ScotsScrievin #Language #Scotland

  25. Don't often cross post from my blog, but I've got a guest poem by kind permission of @AlbertKirkJr . He shared it on here last week and I liked it so much I thought my blog readers would like it too.

Enjoy, and give him a follow if you haven't already.
