Augh. Any electrophysiologists here? All of a sudden the recording electrode in one of my rigs has started vibrating a lot, making stable single unit recordings near impossible. Tightened every screw possible on the manipulator, clamped the headstage closer to the body of the manipulator to minimize the lever arm, made sure the air table had good pressure, added a weight to the platform that the manipulator sits on... But still, the vibrations are going strong. What can I try next?

A reminder, while building a #climate community on Mastodon #Fediverse - listen to the scientists!

It is astonishing how many self-proclaimed "climate experts" are out there. Some are pushing opinions, others are connecting dots. Together they close the circle of doom and denial. Even worse, they contaminate science-based evidence relying on facts evaluated vi…

I'm by how much the scientific community has grown in this few days of Twitter exodus. I'm seeing a lot of new and interesting content, BUT:
Remember to tag your posts! Hashtags are essential for discoverability on the #Fediverse!
I've also seen a lot of tags ending in -don. I appreciate that #Mastodon is dominating as a platform, but remember that the #Fediverse is much more than that. Use platform-neutral tags, or build them around the word #Fediverse
