    Firenze University Press (FUP) annuncia il proprio ingresso in ScienceOpen, la piattaforma globale di scoperta e diffusione della ricerca scientifica. Con oltre 1.700 libri e più di 60 riviste peer-reviewed ora indicizzate nelle collezioni FUP Books e FUP Journals, la produzione accademica di FUP e di USienaPress entrano in un ecosistema che raccoglie oltre 100 milioni di pubblicazioni, ampliando la visibilità e l’impatto internazionale delle proprie opere.

    Visibilità e impatto globali

    La collaborazione con ScienceOpen consolida il ruolo di FUP come editore di riferimento nell’Open Access e promotore dell’innovazione nella comunicazione scientifica. Grazie all’arricchimento dei metadati e agli strumenti di scoperta contestuale, le pubblicazioni FUP dialogano con reti di ricerca internazionali, rafforzando la diffusione e l’impatto interdisciplinare.

    Un editore accademico aperto e sostenibile

    FUP, editore open e non profit dell’Università di Firenze, opera secondo i principi di Open Science e della conoscenza come bene comune, reinvestendo ogni surplus nelle proprie finalità culturali e pubbliche. Promuove un modello editoriale trasparente, equo e sostenibile, al servizio della comunità scientifica e della società civile.

    Un modello collaborativo tra University Press

    Nell’ambito di una strategia di cooperazione tra le University Press italiane, FUP ha avviato una partnership con USiena Press come primo editore associato. L’iniziativa si fonda sulla totale autonomia editoriale di ciascun partner e sulla condivisione di infrastrutture e competenze per valorizzare la produzione scientifica pubblica.

    Un catalogo aperto e interdisciplinare

    Il programma editoriale FUP copre un ampio spettro di discipline, dalle scienze umane e sociali alle discipline tecniche e naturali, promuovendo la circolazione libera del sapere e il dialogo tra ambiti di ricerca diversi. La casa editrice è aperta a proposte di pubblicazione da parte di studiosi, ricercatori e istituzioni che condividano i principi dell’accesso aperto e della responsabilità pubblica della conoscenza.

    Un ecosistema editoriale aperto e connesso

    Attraverso ScienceOpen e la partecipazione all’Association of European University Presses (AEUP), FUP contribuisce allo sviluppo di standard europei di qualità e interoperabilità dei dati, consolidando il proprio ruolo nel panorama dell’editoria accademica aperta.
