The MLK Drive crossing over the #Schuylkill in #Philadelphia is now closed to everyone (including pedestrians, bicycles, and horses, not just cars) for the next two years, so its deteriorating bridge can finally get replaced. The city has two detours posted for cyclists, shown on the map in this article: https://billypenn.com/2023/04/06/mlk-drive-bridge-repairs-closure-detours/
I'll be interested to see if anyone provides any more creative crossing alternatives (boats from the boathouses? ziplines from the zoo?) over the next couple of years.
