growing up in ontario in the 90s, I was taught WordPerfect and QuattroPro.
in elementary school my ‘dog ate my homework’ was that I’d bring my file on a diskette w/ a .doc from Word from home and be like ‘OoOooOppssss I can’t print it I’ll have to bring it tomorrow as RTF’ (and then actually do the book report) – I am no longer this lame we can blame the cloud now.

Back in 1987–1988, some friends from another high school decided to paint a farewell mural.
Instead of something nice, they painted a modified Stryper album cover designed to insult the teachers! 😂By the time it was revealed, they had already graduated anyway.

the worst part about doing homework with kiddo sn't that I can't do it as it's primary school.
I like to manually do it on my "answer sheet" with all the working out written down so I can show her where she went wrong as a learning exercise.
but it's when she gets it's so spectacularly wrong I sit there for a moment trying to work out what the sweet F*** she did to get that answer so I can explain it
