Did you miss our latest paper on #praziquantel 💊 and #schistosome 🐛? We reanalyzed our data with the latest genome assembly. The main takeaway:
- #PZQ response is determined by only one QTL rather than 2 independent loci.
- The Sm.TRPM_PZQ gene is still differentially expressed.
- There are now only 3 gene isoforms and isoform 1 mainly explains the difference in expression.This demonstrates that high-quality genome assembly is critical for correct trait mapping.
