I really hope #Germany gets a hefty fine for violating the #SchengenAgreement. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

It comes as a bitter realization that a lot of hard-fought-for progress can be wiped off the slate easily under the wrong circumstances.

Implementing right-wing policies like border controls does not make them any less right-wing by being implemented by a German left-to-center coalition trying to appeal to right-wing voters due to domestic power plays.
