Die FAZ hat mein Bühnenbild für »1984« am @blnensemble in der Kritiker*innenumfrage von Theater Heute nominiert. Was für ein schönes Geburtstagsgeschenk!
Ein großes Dankeschön an die Konstruktionsabteilung des BE, und an Herztzer, die es so hervorragend gebaut haben.
Sobald sich die Scheibe wieder dreht, ist die Produktion ab dem 31. August zu sehen.

It's interesting that White Cat Legend, that was a fairly cheap production, still beats larger ones in my watchlist visually. But Luoyang comes close! Those dusty lightbeams really are top knotch!

Frustrating! The scenography is not as striking in Strange Tales of Tang Dynasty as in White Cat Legend, but I can't pinpoint why. In the former every scene feels slightly off. Here Su (white) is flawlessly placed, the shopkeeper could be his counterweight. Unfortunately three irrelevant lamps are photobombing them and disrupting the balance. If the lamps had been bronze coloured instead of black the scene would've been much better.

Finding a long-term place to live at a normal price seems to be #MissionImpossible in #Split, and I'm becoming increasingly frustrated. #Tourism, #gentrification, and short-term rentals made sure that this city is becoming more unlivable every year and it's turning into a #scenography for tourists. It breaks my heart to say this because this is where I grew up, I love this city, but the future doesn't look good.
Tourism will destroy #Mediterranean. -
Finland’s students’ exhibition won a prize at #PragueQuadrennial! I’m not quite sure which one, since the sound system and bad memory, but something to do with imagination! I’m so happy for my students and so was every Finn!
(I had nothing to do with the exhibition, no matter how I wish I had, it was great)
