  1. I realised yesterday that @kitboga , who is a famous "scambaiter" is able to do his entertaining videos by exploiting the same human flaws that the scammers use themselves.

    Mainly, that after you are on the lure and start trusting the scammer (or kitboga) on any level, you brain will make it very hard to remove the trust as long as the other side does not do or say something to you which will want you to reduce trust.

    Scambaiters like Kitboga and the old 419eater exemplifies and does this for great entertainment and for a good cause, mainly imposing cost on the scammers.

    But if you listen to the first episode of Economist's Scam Inc you will hear examples of how it goes the other way.

    Later in the series they discuss how the scammers have playbooks which allow them to industrialise the scamming, and it made me think about the similarly to how kitboga built his bot network. Find a working playbook and just scale up.

    I don't have a point with this I think, it's just a reflection and something I want to think about more. Humans have not evolved for this world and it's causing lots of societal problems.
