This #MathsMonday I'm expanding on #scalars in #Mathematics. Previously we discussed that integers in #Maths are discrete, and used for counting things. In #Math we also have the Real Numbers, which is a bit of a misnomer since we don't usually use them for counting! It's more a case of people conflating them with numbers, because both use numerals. Rather, the Reals are used as multipliers, to provide a scale (though sometimes used as a fraction's decimal equivalent)β¦ -
