#SC25 in wonderful St. Louis was a blast! I showcased this FluidX3D-on-Arc-Pro workstation demo there, met so many friends, had exciting conversations with all sorts of #HPC enthusiasts. And I finally saw the Cardinals - the bright red/brown birds that became the symbol of the city's famous Baseball team. 🐦

This is Flynn's #Tron Light Cycle simulated in #FluidX3D #CFD, on 4x #Intel #ArcPro B60 #GPU​s with 24GB VRAM each, at a massive 1.8 Billion grid cells resolution. 🖖🤠

How #supercomputer #filesystem #DAOS breaks out of its niche
DAOS parallel filesystem has strong #IO500 presence, holding 1 (Argonne) and 2 (LRZ) in #SC25 list. The two, according to #HPE, combined have four times storage benchmark score of next 30 systems. DAOS also appears at number 13 (Zuse Institute, Berlin), and 17 (China Telecom). Software appears more often in the full IO500 list, with 16 of the top 30 submissions using DAOS, and 26 of top 45 being DAOS devotees.

#ICON team earns international recognition in #HPC🏆👏
What an outstanding achievement! Using the ICON Earth system model, a team led by #MPIM + #DKRZ successfully simulated the full Earth system at an unprecedented grid spacing of 1.25 km. For this, they received the Gordon Bell Prize for #ClimateModeling, awarded at #SC25. The team also included experts from #JSC, #ETH Zurich, CSCS, #UHH, & #NVIDIA. The #EuroHPC Joint Undertaking is funding the €544 million ($630 million) project to expand #Europe's research capabilities in simulations, data analysis, and AI for societal, scientific, and industrial challenges.
