  1. The #Goldwing #SC22 is back on track. After changing the whole fuel pump part inside the tank container it starts again. I'm planning the vehicle inspection for next week, so for Christmas ;)
    #TÜVneeded

  2. Heute mal wieder was gelernt. Bei der Motoren-Fehlersuche dem FKK-Prinzip folgen.
    Funke, Kraftstoff, Kompression...
Bei meiner Goldwing #SC22 haperte es an Punkt 2, die Kraftstoffpumpe ist kaputt. Und übrigens: Ansaugen um den Tank leer zu bekommen ist ekelig im Mund. Und alles weil #TÜVruft.

  3. #Exascale vs the Exascale Report: Why so long? and Are We Really There Yet? by Peter Kogge at Salishan Update to a talk given at #SC22 by Kogge & Dally salishan.ahsc-nm.org/uploads/4/9/... #HPC via @ogawa-tadashi.bsky.social

  4. It's been over two years(!) since the last release of the #IOR and #mdtest #HPC I/O benchmarks, so we just cut a candidate for 4.0.0 based on the version used for the #SC22 #IO500 here: github.com/hpc/ior/releases/ta

PLEASE kick the tires since there have been huge changes since 3.3.0 came out.

  5. With #SC23 submissions now live we're thrilled to bring you our #SC22 recap. Why not join us this November? womeninhpc.org/women-in-hpc/wh

  6. With #SC23 about to launch submissions we are pleased to showcase our #SC22 workshop! Get the full re-cap, plus links and quotes from our great speakers! buff.ly/3k73KCy

  7. We were so pleased to see our Networking Reception back in action at #SC22 in Dallas, TX! Special thanks to the Purdue University Rosen Center for Advanced Computing for sending their photography team to capture the event - enjoy the photo strip! womeninhpc.org/women-in-hpc/sc

  8. @hpcprogrammer @sri I risked #SC22 (sorry for your experience, Fenanda!) but only for a day and only took my mask off for one session for the "Reducing HPCʻs Carbon Footprint" BOF and only because there were no microphones for the BOF leaders and after checking the CO2 levels; then went to nearly a full week of ucc-conference.org fully masked all the time including the DAAC workshop that was a follow-up to the SC22 BOF and managed to come back w/out RSV, COVID, or the flu. Masks work!

  9. The #SC22 has once again succeeded in providing #HPC enthusiasts with a place to exchange ideas. We share with you here impressions from this year's "Jülich #Supercomputing Centre (JSC)"-booth ... We are looking forward to #SC23

  10. The #SC22 Conference has posted recordings from some of their most popular sessions including the ACM Turing Talk, Plenary, Top 500 BoF, Invited Speakers and Awards.
    Enjoy! buff.ly/3iLonUk

  11. #SLURM presentations from #SC22 now available: slurm.schedmd.com/publications
There’s one I specifically had been hoping to be discussed for so long, and it finally happened: Slurm and/or/versus Kubernetes
It talks about potentially getting the slurm to work with K8s. Something that may not exactly be necessary as engineers do the on-prem and k8s separately, but there are still good reasons to think about the possibility of integration; like managing one infrastructure vs. two.

  12. Great video from STH for people who love #HPC hardware and infrastructure but didn’t get to see much of the #SC22 show floor (like me!). Also featured: chopping a cooling hose with an axe.

Also, I can't believe people make a living doing this. I could write about cool hardware on show floors 24/7/365. Less sure about being a professional YouTube star though.

  13. Here is STH’s brief article on the #Genoa and #MI200 #GPU nodes on display at Microsoft’s #SC22 booth

I hadn’t realized how many other #AMD Genoa nodes were on display from other vendors, but STH did a nice job showing many implementations. I can see now why people liked the heat sinks on Microsoft’s design! Very unique.

  14. #SC22 #reinvent #HPC I wrote a story for #InsideHPC on my impressions of the supercomputing show and why I think CXL3.0 and custom CPU designs is going to be the future for supercomputers. AWS confirmed some of my thoughts this week. insidehpc.com/2022/12/sc22-cxl the picture is of a 16 way CXL2.0 switch seen at the show.
