Terrible news for #scifi lovers. Star Trek: Prodigy, one of the best written #StarTrek shows of the recent crop, is apparently being passed on by #Netflix. They're also going to be removing the first two seasons. You don't do that if you have a new season on the way.
Despite being targeted at the young adult demographic, the show is pure Trek and has all the parts that make for great TV for Trek fans of any age. The first season is good, but the second season is fantastic. Well worth watching, despite it getting cancelled. @ramsey @GoodAaron @kboyd It was a whole big thing. Paramount did 90% of the work to make a season 2, then at the last second canceled it and also pulled Prodigy from Paramount+ for tax write off reasons or something dumb like that.
There was a massive fan outcry, #SaveStarTrekProdigy, and eventually Netflix picked it up for both seasons.

@ramsey Yep. I started off hating Dal. By the end of the season, I was cheering for him so hard. The mid-season finale was where he really turned around.
Can't wait for Season 2 this year!

Still, shame on paramount Plus for dropping the ball on their promise that all star trek shows would be in one place... well done managers...
