Philip Doddridge, Congregationalist minister, speaks on appropriate conduct of ministers. Pastors should aid the needy, make friends with the rich, so as to be able to urge the rich to remember the poor. This urging does them a favor as it may save them from the judgment of Matthew 25:31-46.

Today, aren’t pastors supposed to tremble for those who would criticize the rich?

One of the functions of religion is #Community. Which creates a social contract for members involving #Rites and practices.

#Jesus said we would know them by their fruits. If you are #SavedByGrace you do the #Works not because they will #Save you, because you are #Saved. Which comes first is debatable, though you can't have one without the other.

Jesus also recognized the #Humanity in every person and modeled #Radical #Inclusion .
