So, how did the #SausageRolls turn out?
Just OK.
Not the fault of the recipe, but in the execution. The frozen puff pastry was probably in the freezer too long, and didn’t bring much flavor to the table. The store-bought sausage meat was really, really mild.
They prepared well, but were a bit of a lower down on the flavor department.
Man, I hate working with puff pastry, but… needs must when you want #SausageRolls in the USA. You gotta make’em yourself.

Der Pürierstab hat es gerichtet. Leider habe ich zuviel gemacht. Habe nur die Hälfte verbraucht.

3 gehen in den Froster und eine gibt es jetzt.
Schon jetzt ist klar zu sehen, dass die deutsche #Bratwurst als Basis für #SausageRolls nicht gut geeignet ist. Das Pellen ging einfach, aber das Innere ist viel zu fest. Mal den #Pürierstab bemühen. Hoffe es klappt.
Ich kann hier in Deutschland natürlich für die typischen #SausageRolls nicht auf die normalerweise verwendeten Zutaten zugreifen. Ich werde dafür Thüringer Bratwurst auseinandernehmen und verwenden. Ich hoffe das klappt, so wie ich mir das vorstelle. 🙈
